Families

ATS has a long, glorious history of "families", in which older members guide younger ones! Alumni are particularly proud of their families, and even today, many families are still going strong after graduation!

We originally had 7 families of varying sizes (see "Historical Families"), and on October 9, 2022, some of these families married to create three new families! Click any family to view more information!

In 2006, social chairs Kenny Yan '08 and Jen Kwok '08 created ATS's big/little program. About three years later, Gloria Yang '11 put the existing big/little pairings into family trees. This became the foundation for the families, with each one doing its own events. In October 2009, the first event for all the families was done—the Family Field Day. (Thanks to Kenny for the history!)

The documented ATS families began in the early 2000s, when
Jon Lii '06 led Jon's Bad Ass Pirates
and Paul Cheng '06 led Big Fat Fuzzy Love.

This was followed up with 3 more families:
Kenny Yan '08's Greater Than U
Jen Kwok '08's ATS Gangstas
Christine Yang '08's Funky Bobasaurs

As the population of the 5 families exploded, two new families were created:
Christine Lee '09's Best ATS Family
Allen Hsu '10's All Stars
